| Carbonemys Obibimus is one of the least aggressive creatures on the island. Were it not for the plethora of predators on the island, I’m certain it would spend its days basking in the sun, eating, or sleeping. Carbonemys leads a simple, solitary life. It seems to be one of the most peaceful animals I have yet encountered. With its slow walking speed, the only things that keep it safe are its surprisingly fast swim speed, and its incredibly thick shell. I would not be surprised to see a Carbonemys withdraw entirely into its shell and be completely safe from most predators. Domesticated Carbonemys’ swift swim rate, fairly high strength, and lack of real threat makes it an ideal aquatic mount for many coastal survivors who shy away from violence. The Carbonemys is a medium size herbivorous reptile found on the Ark. Its shell is spiked and their colors vary between their skin and shell colors. The Carbonemys is a fast swimmer and is very strong. It also runs as fast as a Dilophosaurus.
Domestication
The Carbonemys are very good as a use of pack mules, though on land they are rather slow moving with the exception of being in water. It is capable of taking down the majority of the game’s creatures, even creatures such as the Megalodon and Tyrannosaurus Rex. It usually takes just under 1 hour to tame.
Its preferred food is Mejoberries.
Downing a Carbonemys to tame can be difficult, because they usually have high health. You can down one using a slingshot (though you will use many stones) or by tranquilizer arrows. It will usually take 4 or more tranq arrows.It is suggested that one either kite this slow creature when attacking in melee or even simply walk a bit further away when using a ranged weapon. Some say that attacking its shell breaks weapons and tools faster and causes less damage.
